Bulgur is obtained from steamed, dried and chopped durum wheat grains of particular varieties.
How to use: boil the bulgur in boiling salted water (about 2 cups of water for each cup of bulgur) for 10 minutes. Drain, let it rest for 2/3 minutes and season. Alternatively, pour boiling water over the bulgur and leave on for 20 minutes. A visual inspection of the product is recommended before cooking.
In the kitchen: Suitable for first courses, salads, in broth or for fillings.
