Description

Characteristics: these Cannellini beans are grown in Piedmont. This region of north-west Italy can still count on a capillary natural irrigation network, making the soils very fresh, draining and fertile, thus not exceeding in fertilizers. This gives the beans a very thin and tender skin, a sweet taste, not too strong, easily digestible.

In the kitchen: cannellini beans are widely used in traditional Tuscan recipes such as "beans all'uccelletto" with tomato, garlic and sage or in soups with cereals and vegetables, soups (with pasta or spelled) and pastes or creams. Also excellent simply boiled and seasoned with extra virgin olive oil.
